Airports in the past few years have recognized the value of Pet Squads: a brilliant idea to keep the travelling public engaged, entertained, and help reduce the stress of travel! This initiative seems to be taking off successfully with more and more airports offering this unique service. Recent surveys reflect air travel to double in the next decade; significant growth in pet ownership with a notable increase in pet expenses particularly for kennel and grooming services.
Now is the time for airports to take it a step further by offering facilities conveniently located close to the airport. An airport that offers pet owners 24/7 boarding, daycare, and grooming services prior to taking their flights will become the “airport of choice.” Pet owners would gladly drive to a further airport where they could drop off or collect their pets immediately before and after their trip. Most city kennels require them to leave their pets a day before travel and pick them a day later after returning home.
A top service offering to this group of the traveling public would be to have a facility that offers pet services, parking for your car and the terminal in close proximity of one another.
